Welcome to the Bookli game! The ancient book The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and the game Wordle served as inspiration for Bookli. The player's task is to guess a target passage contained in this novel.
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes is a series of detective novels that are famous all over the world. The book follows the adventures of detective Sherlock Holmes and his old friend Dr. Watson. Holmes is famous for being a talented private detective with keen observation and logical reasoning who is able to solve difficult cases that even the police have to give up.
The words that you need to guess are the words that make up the text in this novel. You have 12 guesses for each word, but if you run out of 12 and still haven't guessed the right word, the game is over.
How to play Bookli?
- You can type with the keyboard or use the on-screen arrow keys to make your predictions.
After each guess, the color of the word will change to suggest the target keyword.
- Blue: The letter is in the word and in the right place to fill in.
- Orange: letters are in the word in the wrong places to fill in.
- Words that are not in the word after you guess them will be crossed out to mark them. - You don't need to guess the words in the passage in the correct order; you can use the tab key to select the word behind, shift+tab to select the word in front, or use the mouse pointer to select directly on the screen.
- Each word you guess is not necessarily a valid English word; however, you should choose the valid words to make the game easier.
- It should be noted that the wording in the game is from an old novel published in 1887, so it may be a little different from a modern English novel.
